Hello Avelore’s followers!

Welcome to our update section. Today is April 26th, 2022 and this is our first official update on the production of Avelore’s Tome of Knowledge.

We have printed our first prototype of the final page designs and are now doing a final edit to minor pieces. IE: grammar issues, colors and/or design ideas that we feel don’t quite hit the way we hoped.

Our product development partner (fancy way of saying go between lol) Ventrify has been working diligently to locate and secure the necessary production items. Finding the right type of synthetic paper was hands down the most difficult part but, we believe we have overcome that hurdle and should be able to fulfill our promise of a fully erasable/reusable journal that you can use over and over again.

The erasable ink pens were also a bit of a mystery at first as well. The technology is fairly new and so requires a little more digging to locate a supplier. Although the minimum order quantity is higher than we hoped we have decided to move forward with the choice to supply our customers with erasable ink pens right in the journal.

Our next step will be to complete a handful of pages who’s necessity made itself known with the first play test group. One of those being a Quick guide that will present an easy to fill out, easy to understand note sheet that you can write in during sessions and then move that info to your larger journal post session to make the process even quicker. I’d like to thank Zack and Josh VanGorder for that amazing idea!

We expect to receive the first prototypes of the binder in the next week or so. That will allow us to see if our material choices will match up with our vision of the how the binder will function. This is a process of choosing between paper or PU leatherette, bottle types and sizes, zipper styles etc. details that one rarely even considers until someone asks about them. And even then, it takes some research to determine the best options for the product you’re creating. But, I believe at this point we are more than 75% done with that process and just need to approve the prototype design. My hope is that it comes to us correct the first time however, we all know how those things work out.

For those of you who are following us and keeping an eye on this product my most fervent hope is that in reading these updates and hearing from me directly you see the passion and love I have for this product and it’s future. I’m seeking to make Avelore’s a staple in the RPG world with this first edition being just the start.
