I apologize for the long silence to anyone who has been keeping tabs on this product development. Recently the prototype was finally printed and is on its way here for the next steps in the process.
Why did it take so long?
Great question.
I’m new lol. That’s the short version.
The long version is I had no idea what the process of getting the prototype created was going to entail. We have been going back and forth with the manufacturer, since my update in June of 2023. The minutia of developing something like this with a manufacturing company is far beyond anything I expected. It could take months to come to an agreement on the simplest details. I won’t go into the specifics however, sufficient to say, it has been a challenge.
What’s next?
Once the prototype arrives stateside, we will go through it thoroughly. Find and notate any issues we discover from this print and get those to the manufacturer asap, so they can be discussed well before the final order is placed following the Kickstarter campaign. While those issues are being discussed behind the scenes the forward-facing elements will be Product Photography, Product Video, Campaign video design and completion and Pre-Launch campaign, culminating in the Kickstarter Launch this holiday season.
It has been a long road for anyone who has followed this process. And it is far from over. In truth it is only now truly beginning. I am incredibly proud Avelore’s Tome of Knowledge and, even more so, in the team of individuals whose hard work and commitment have allowed it to become a reality. It was no small feat. A project I thought might take a year or so has turnd into 4. But I can proudly say it’s finally time to take the next steps!
